Inspired By, Not Copied From
Every regional Anthem and culturally-themed track on Canvas is an original AI composition "inspired by" a musical tradition — never a recording, sample, or reproduction of any specific artist's work. We label this clearly wherever these tracks appear.
Where The Training Data Comes From
The underlying AI models (including third-party providers like Suno and Udio) are trained on large audio datasets assembled by those providers — generally a mix of licensed and publicly available material, not any single artist's copyrighted catalog. Canvas doesn't control that training process, but we hold providers to their stated data and licensing practices.
Cultural Respect, Not Appropriation
We aim to celebrate musical traditions respectfully, without stereotyping or misrepresenting a culture's sound. Anthem descriptions and artist bios are written to credit a general tradition, never a specific artist, community, or sacred practice.
